What to do in an emergency
Do you smell gas? Do you suspect there is carbon monoxide poisoning? If so, then open all your doors and windows, and shut off the gas supply and call the following number:

You are then advised to seek medical help. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include the following: headaches, nausea, dizziness, breathlessness, collapse and loss of consciousness.
Don’t use the appliance until it has been checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
